WORKSPOT AND OTP SOFTWARE DELIVER WIRELESS
ACCESS TO ENTERPRISE ERP, CRM AND E-COMMERCE
APPLICATIONS
SAN FRANCISCO, September 27, 2000 - WorkSpot, a premier Open Source Application Service Provider (ASP), and OTP Software, Inc., a leading IT integration organization, today announced a joint program to provide customized wireless deployment and ASP services. Initially this program will focus on customers using Oracle Applications and IBM WebSphere Commerce Suite.
"Enterprise customers need wireless access to critical ERP and CRM information," said Peter Liljegren, OTP Software's managing partner. "This program merges OTP's solid business assessment and implementation skills with WorkSpot's wireless and remote hosting expertise, providing a unique set of customized applications for customers."
Working with the customer's technology team, WorkSpot and OTP Software will assess existing IT capabilities against current and future communication and enterprise computing requirements. Once an assessment has been completed, OTP and WorkSpot will work together to rapidly implement the solution.
"Businesses can no longer function tied to the desktop. CRM and ERP users are hungry for remote access to critical data," said Kathy Giori, WorkSpot CEO. "Enterprise customers are also looking to outsource implementation and management of CRM and ERP IT infrastructure. The relationship between OTP and WorkSpot delivers both."
In addition to implementing and deploying applications for web and wireless, WorkSpot and OTP will host and run enterprise systems for select customers. WorkSpot will provide the infrastructure and technical support to keep systems online. OTP will provide expertise for configuring applications and integrating them to the client's existing systems. OTP will also provide service professionals to operate the systems, enabling customers to focus on their core business.
